July 31st.
That was my day....
My day to commit. To finally say out loud that I would be homeschooling Harper for first grade. If you know me well you know I have contemplated this since he was 2. BUT it finally became real this year, because I didn't have anything to fall back on except public school or finally commit. Ya'll....prayer, prayer, and more prayer have consumed this journey. HE is faithful. That's all I can say. God literally put so many people in my path to bring me to this decision. AND the coolest thing about all of this is that HE brought people from all arenas. From public school, to private school, to home school. God showed me that all HE wanted for me was to be at peace. There was no wrong decision. I felt comforted in knowing HE would be with us either way. I hope I can give others that peace as well. No matter what the path you choose there are always going to be problems and issues. BUT HE is with you....if you submit to HIM.
With that said, I am so excited for this year! I cannot wait to share my journey. It's going to be hard. I know this, but as I heard at a recent homeschool convention....lots of things are hard, but if you really search out of all of those hard moments comes something good. Something.
And so it begins here....
