Spider web chests...

Wow! First, I have an amazing husband. I know that people often say that, but mine is the greatest! We had a wonderful time on my surprise birthday trip. Thursday night we stopped in Austin which was such a great change of pace from the land of concrete. Austin has that eclecticness to it that brings all walks of people. I love it! Friday morning we headed to the unknown destination which I later found out was Wimberly, Texas. An amazingly cute little town planted in the middle of the Texas hill country. Being in the hill country of Texas is so refreshing to many people from Texas because it seems so out of place. Small towns have grown to be Brice and my favorite spots. For some reason being in a small town where life is so much more simple brews up dreams and hopes that Brice and I can only reflect and focus on when we are in such beauty. The weekend was absolutely perfect. Brice is my dream! I love being with him and my life seems almost un-realistic when we are alone dreaming and enjoying life without the stresses that seem to entangle us daily.
Driving back to Dallas the stress crept back into our chests like spider webs, but we both felt very refreshed and ready to take on the many challenges that lay before us. We hope that this will be our year to really attack some of our desires and see if God is willing to do the same. If not...no worries, I love my life here and the blessings I am showered with.

actually...I have the best wife. I cannot begin to tell you (or the world) what you mean to me. I cherish you more every minute that we spend together. Wherever you are, that is where I will be.
