Tag You're It...

Ice ice baby....oh yes....a snow day. Snow days bring me back to living in Iowa. That magical feeling of waking up only to find out you don't have to go to school. For a split second this morning I felt like a kid again. Luckily I have a job where we get a day off if the weather plays its magical game of tag you're it. Last night's tag was a blanket of ice across North Texas. The gift of a day off on a random Wednesday is nothing but pure bliss. Why is it that a day off during the week feels so much different than a day off on a weekend? Surely b/c a weekend day off is scheduled...a random Wednesday is not. So...the next question is what to do with this day off? In Iowa it meant staying inside all day b/c the weather's game was more like a tag you're it and I just slapped you in the face as well. Here it is nothing like that. The ice is already fading away slowly with the sunshine...so who knows. All I do know is this was definitely a hidden blessing for today.
