Yes, I am a day late...I know. You will more than likely here that statement more than once from me. You will also read that the reason for my lateness most days will be, my big red chair. I tend to fall asleep in my big red chair a lot. Last night I did just this after eating too many fried pickles and enjoying a great piece of my famous lemonade pie. As I have stated before, it is the simple things in life that make me happy.
Yesterday there were lots of blessings. I got to go to a local farmer's market with my old friend Sarah and we enjoyed breakfast together at a new place neither of us had gone before. I also had the chance to purchase some of my new favorite eggs and meat from a local farmer who only raises animals that are grass fed and free ranging. I have become a little obsessive about this new world of meat. I am seriously amazed at all that I put into my body and want to know more about the food I am eating and where it is coming from. As you can see from my profile my favorite movie right now is King Corn. I have become so interested in this wealth of knowledge that I never cared to really learn about. I think we all need something that excites us, challenges us, and makes us want to learn more about. Funny that mine is food!
Yesterday was very relaxed. I have been enjoying ever minute of my days trying not to let my mind roam too much into wish land as I often do. I realize that I need to be thankful for the blessings that I have now and try not to worry so much about what my life will be like even a week from now. I just love sitting back and letting God be in control...it makes my life so much easier to let Him take the reins.
