So here's the story behind my title...today was a very laid back day, I love summer and enjoy that I have a job that I get paid for having 3 months off. It is great. Believe me though...us teachers work for it. I could ramble the reasons as to why, but honestly most of you reading this wouldn't get it or care.
Needless to say, I am enjoying the last couple weeks of my time off, trying to soak in the last few hours of drinking coffee until 9, working out, and not getting my day going until noon. I love that!
Today I went to Whole Foods. I have to say that I love that store. There is something about the smell, the crispness of the aisles, and the foreignness of all things organic. When I am in there I just feel good...it's like a peace comes over me. So...a huge blessing for today was just talking to a lady in there named JoAnn. JoAnn wore a yellow shirt and was so great to talk to. We talked on almost every aisle because we were both working the store at the same pace. It just felt good to talk. It seems like most days I tend to just go about my business, but there is something about being personable with others. I am learning about this more and more through my reading of Mark. It's cool to see the character of a man that for so long has seemed foreign to me like the aisles of organics. Slowly I am learning to slow down, be aware of what's around me, better yet whose around me.
That brings me to the Aji. If no one knows what Aji is it is an amazing dish at my favorite sushi restaurant, Simon's Sushi. The reason Aji is a blessing today is because I got to spend it with Brice. Simon's is our spot. We tend to do a lot of life talking at Simon's. It is a place that helps us escape from the mess in our minds. Most times we just talk about dreams, aspirations, wishes...you know, silly things. I love the people there, the food, and of course the time with Brice. Going to Simon's is always a real treat.
So...with all of that said, today was wonderful. There were bad parts to my day, but I am not going to mention those. I don't want them to over take these awesome parts.
